RESTOCKING THE STORE

The Restocking the Store Program is an opportunity to motivate students by providing games, prizes, and school supplies for our "Housebuck" & "Marketplace" store serving both elementary and junior high students. Students are rewarded for doing homework and supplemental activities with an in-house currency that allows them to shop at our store. Items can even be purchased at the dollar store!  Click HERE for a list of items. Or click HERE for a link to our Target wish list.

CHRISTMAS ANGELS

The Christmas Angels Program gathers gifts for all students from "Angels" in the community. For some, this may be the only gift they receive during Christmas. A gift valued at $20 is donated to each child in grades PK-5, and a gift card valued at $30 is given to each child in grades 6-12. Gifts are collected during the month of November and presented to the students during our annual Christmas Parties.  Click HERE for more information.

BOOK DRIVE

Help us replenish our libraries with new books for students to read as part of our Accelerated Reader program.  Click HERE to view a list of popular books for teens and HERE to view popular books for elementary students.

LIFE BAGS

To celebrate students at important transitions in their life, NHH hosts gender-specific discussions with outgoing 5th, 8th, and 12th graders to prepare them for the changes in academic rigor, school structure, grading/credit system, and adolescent development.  At these events, we present a "Life Bag" with items to help ease this transitional period in their lives. CLICK HERE for a list of items needed for these bags.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Help us provide adequate supplies for volunteers to provide quality homework assistance by donating regularly used school supplies during sessions.  These supplies are most needed in September and January as the new semester begins.  You can also take advantage of great school supply sales during the summer.  CLICK HERE for a list of items needed during the school year.
