Neighborhood Teen Project

What is it?

The Neighborhood Teen Project (NTP) has been designed to challenge our growing teen population to achieve their fullest potential in high school, set career goals, prepare for college and develop the life and leadership skills necessary to achieve their goals.  NTP is a holistic approach to addressing the individual needs of students by providing opportunities for academic, social, and spiritual growth throughout their teen years.

What is provided to a student involved in the Neighborhood Teen Project?
  • Individualized Tutoring
  • Mentoring Relationships
  • Internships
  • Counseling
  • Computer Lab Hours
  • Educational Fieldtrips
  • Environmental Literacy Activities
  • Career Building Activities
  • Teen Topic Nights
  • Educational Workshops
  • Academic Incentives (i.e. the 3.0 Dinner)
  • Access to Homework House Partners, such as, L.A. Works
  • College Prep Support
    • Campus Visits
    • Assistance with SAT/ACT
    • Assistance with college application process
    • Help filing for financial assistance
  • A safe and positive environment to reach their fullest potential!
