Celebrating a decade of service to Azusa's most precious resource with the Next Decade Campaign, 'Vision Without Boundaries'

In 1997 a seed of hope was planted in the rough and rocky soil of a low-income neighborhood called 9th Street. That seed of a dream began with a handful of kids, crammed into a cramped living room, clamoring for the help of two teachers who donated time and talent to empower those students to overcome circumstances of birth and to begin dream big dreams and to receive that extra measure of support to achieve their dreams.

Today that seed has blossomed and multiplied to 140 students from Kindergarten through high school, filling three apartments that have been transformed into beautiful tutoring centers, five days a week. And Homework House isn’t just for kids anymore – parents flock to Parenting Workshops, Goal-setting and Nutrition seminars, Computer and English-As-A-Second Language classes.

Homework House growth is fueled by our faithful friends, community support and several grant awards. To sustain the year-around academic and enrichment programs in two impoverished neighborhoods, we must raise $250,000 annually.

To impact young at-risk lives, consistency is vital and consistency assumes a financial safety net. Thus in celebration of our first decade, The Next Decade Legacy Fund will create the financial stability essential to assure Homework House will continue to empower Azusa’s most vulnerable population to reach for their dreams.

The Next Decade Legacy Fund campaign goal is $200,000. So convinced that there is no investment yielding greater future dividends than Neighborhood Homework House, one Homework House friend has pledged to match every gift received by December 31, 2006!

Will you join hands with Homework House and step into the future of our youth with an investment gift to The Next Legacy Decade Fund?   The benefits of your gift will be doubled, if received before the end of the year. You may donate now securely on-line using your credit card. Or contact the Homework House to request The Next Decade Fund information package to be mailed to you.
